LIFE IS ART is a program that allows offenders to create self awareness and emotional intelligence through literacy, media, performing, and traditional art opportunities. LIA is a partnership between Delaware Department of Corrections & rehabilitation & Taino Studios. Designed to prepare offenders for success upon release, enhance rehabilitation goals, & improve the safety & environment of DDOC institutions.

LIA programs are led by professional artist, social work students, and specialized organizations, focusing on the topics used for strengthening rehabilitation. The goal of LIA is to expose offenders to classes where they can express themselves therapeutically through drawing, creative writing, dance, poetry, theater, and other artistic methods.
